About Namicos
We are aiming to be a unique, global packaging supplier.
Message from the President
We will keep walking, with the
“Change & Challenge” motto,
to deliver reassurance to our customers.
Since its foundation in 1942, Namicos has been bearing a part in the pharmaceutical industry involved in people’s health and life, through the provision of containers for pharmaceutical use. With the rapidly changing market environment surrounding the pharmaceutical industry, as well as ever strengthening regulations of authorities toward quality and safety, customer’s needs for the pharmaceutical containers we provide are also changing, accordingly.
On the basis of our technology, knowledge and experiences cultivated over a long time, we have built a global network with a number of companies, which have made us well-positioned to deal with customer’s various needs speedily and to offer optimal solutions for customer’s challenges.
In 1990, we constructed a new plant designed to realize a highly clean environment, being aware of the thinking of GMP that was just introduced then in Japan, and have now established a quality assurance system introducing the philosophy of ISO15378 (GMP for primary packaging materials for medicinal products) based on ISO9001. “Wrapping containers with a sense of reassurance for delivery to our customers” is our corporate motto shared by all employees. We will aim to become a truly reliable partner of our customers so that they can say “When it comes to containers, first consult Namicos”.
Under the situation that a further market growth can hardly be expected due to a series of government drug-cost containment policies, expanding into the global market has now turned to be an established policy among many Japanese pharmaceutical companies. With the objective of supporting those companies who have already penetrated into the overseas markets centering US and Europe or those who are aiming to move into the overseas market in the future, we have successfully developed plastic containers that can be accepted in three regions including Japan, US and Europe in cooperation with our partner, and have begun supplying products to our customers sequentially, thereby helping them realize an increased efficiency and labor-saving in procurement and development of containers.
Furthermore, building on our contract services of inspecting & assembling a variety of attachments to pharmaceuticals, for purposes of expanding the scope of our businesses, we acquired the class II medical devices manufacturing & marketing license in the end of 2018. With the “Change & Challenging” motto in our mind, we are committed to strive to creating new values in areas where we can capitalize on our strengths and would sincerely appreciate customers’ continued support to us in the future.
